Hello!
I have now realised that I am not very good at updating my journal here. So I thought I might give it a second try.


It is now almost less than a week left in school now before the long and eagerly awaited summer vacation. When I begin school again in late August I will start my last year in Upper secondary school. It feels kind of weird because it is a big differens between Upper secondary school and nine-year compulsory school because before I went in the same school for about 5 years in the first school (1st-5th grade), then 4 years in the second school (6th-9th grade) and now it has decreased to 3 years in Upper secondary school.

2 days before the vacation officially begins, I am going to, what I would call, "Science School" (it is named "Forskar skola" in swedish), which is an opportunity for those who is in their second year in Upper secondary school and are studieing science. I have been allotted to study chemistry while I am going attending this. I am going to do a research on a substance called PRE, I think it was, which is a substance that destroys the "notes" which proteins have so that they know where to go in the cell.

When I first heard that I had been allotted to study chemistry I was pretty disappointed because I wanted to study biology, but now when I know whar my research is all about I think it is a little biology included in it. So I am looking forward to this.
